Used to work for an agency that had offices up and down the MS River, from St. Paul to New Orleans. Every so often, we’d have in person regional meetings. Sometimes, some deranged person would schedule the August meeting in New Orleans. It was pitiful watching the folks from St. Paul and Illinois try to breathe!!
Of course, the opposite is true, too. Husband and I toured Wyoming and Montana recently. Early snow (in October!) freaked me right out. Of course, to them, it was about like having a small thunderstorm. They did NOT understand when I looked out the window and squealed “Oh my Lord! We have to go get bread and milk right now!” (I don’t even drink milk, but this is what you do when you see a microscopic snowflake down south.)
